My Roles

Community Group Coach
This is one of my primary roles with The Rock. Our Community Groups are small groups that consist of 15-30 students. Essentially, I help shepherd this group, coaching students to lead our Thursday night meetings and investing directly in these students' lives as a spiritual mentor. They are the group of students I focus on ministering too. Also, we are assigned different dorms across campus to focus our outreach efforts on.

Communications Director
From Facebook & Twitter to announcements and evangelism material, I work to help our church have a visual presence in the student's world. We aim to resource our students with ministry tools, encourage them through Scripture and invite others to be a part of our community and hear what the Lord might have for them at Mizzou. Also, I hope to encourage our students to dialogue about things that matter in a venue that their friends can join in.

Creative Arts Director
This is the team that helps bring creative elements to our worship services in order to enhance the message being preached. I also act as a liaison to the worship leaders, communicating ideas from the message so that they may lead better. I help brainstorm ideas and execute them to be a part of our services.

Men's Redemption Ministry Leader
In a partnership with Woodcrest Community Church and a former colleague from The Rock, I help lead a "Making Peace With Your Past" class for young men at The Rock. It is a first step in developing a redemption ministry (spiritual and emotional healing) at The Rock.

Prayer, Worship & Communion Director
Another monthly gathering, this time speaks for itself. Aside from coordinating with worship leaders, and whoever is leading the communion time, I help coach a student each time to share their testimony during this time as a way for us to celebrate together God's work in the lives of students.
